I first met Zoila and Eric last year as they were recommended to my by their wedding coordinator Katie Lee from Bella Destinee. Their wedding took place at the beautiful Westlake Village Inn, in Westlake Village, CA, it was a cozy and intimate wedding for just close family and good friends. She didn’t have any Bridesmaids or Groomsman, only a flower girl and a female Ring bearer. The ceremony was at the Tuscan Garden and the Reception at the Fairway room. Selecting the color was a challenge for Zoila and me, at the beginning it was Ivory, peach and yellow but towards the end, it shifted to Coral and ended in Orange with a touch of Silver. Not having any bridesmaids gave Zoila the liberty of changing her colors at will, that also was a factor in the final look. For the ceremony, we draped the gazebo in the front part with white Satin, adding a burnt orange Chiffon in the back of it to give it some dimension. Round flower clusters in Orange roses and Mocara Orchids were placed on each one of the areas where the material was pinched and two brown pedestals with glass cylinders on either side of the archway. The cylinders were made entirely with orange Roses, orange Mocara Orchids and Orange Alstromerias; Silver Curly Willows were added to bring it the touch of silver that we needed. The chairs displayed small clusters of orange Mocara Orchids tied with burnt orange ribbon. Her bouquet was a combination of white Mini Callas, ivory Roses and white Cymbidium Orchids. This type of bouquet is not only very versatile but also very light weight, the number one request from most of my brides.
For the reception, she wanted to have something clean but at the same time with a strong presence. To achieve that, we painted Manzanita Branches in Silver, then we added the same orange Mocara Orchids used in the ceremony. The branches were placed in square glass vases filled with water and three smaller square vases filled with orchids surrounded the main piece. For a finishing touch, square votive candles were added to the table to maintain the shape of all the vases used. The cake was the only thing that Zoila decided to leave with the original idea as far as colors, it was Peach, Ivory, Orange and a touch of yellow. We are very excited since we will be getting some shots from the photographer, Natalie and Michael Garay from NMG Photography, until I do, my shots are going to have to do. Michael and Natalie, it was very nice working with you both. Let’s move on to some pictures now…

Despite the fact that it was really hot that day, we had fun putting this together. The colors looked great, specially at the Tuscan garden, against the brown of the gazebo. Zoila and Eric were a pleasure to work with, being able to help them with the details was also fun. Congratulations and I wish you both the best.
