Last Month, we did the flowers for Danielle and Ben’s wedding at the Figueroa Hotel in Downtown L.A. When Danielle came to see us, she had a clear idea of what she wanted; she just needed a little help putting it together. Her four bridesmaids, each wore a different color dress; orange, purple, yellow and fuchsia. For the girls, she wanted bouquets in white and ivory flowers with a touch of blush pink. For her flowers, she wanted to carry a bouquet that displayed each and every color of the girls dresses. As a concept, it sounds easy; the challenge was to find the right flowers in the right shades with the right textures to make it stand out without overpowering her dress. After an hour or so, we narrowed down the options and she gave me the go ahead.
The day of the wedding, we put together for her a Bouquet that had the most amazing orange Dahlias, fuchsia Gloriosa Lilies, purple Lisanthius and Yellow Freesia as the main flowers. Working like a backdrop, Hocus Pocus roses took second stage while Kiwi branches gave it a mystic touch. The result was incredible, the time we spent picking flower in the right colors and textures paid off, we were able to give Danielle everything she asked from us. On this wedding, we got a chance to work with one of our favorite photographers, Jordana from Hazelnut Photography. For those who are not familiar with Jordana’s work, she is a very talented photographer that has a natural eye for detail. What comes natural for her, many photographers work hard to acquire. We have worked with her before and it’s no accident that she was able to capture the essence of the flowers on her images. The other wedding that we worked with Jordana was also a great one, I will be blogging it soon, I promise!
This afternoon, as I came back to my office from a site visit, I opened my email and there it was, an email from LA Style Unveiled to let me know that we had been featured on their website. I was very happy to see that it was Danielle’s wedding they had chosen. I absolutely loved working with Danielle; she was a fun person from day one. Congratulations Danielle, you and Ben deserve the best and I wish you both the best.
